Reviews of “Receive SMS via a disposable mobile number”

Free Receive SMS Review

Have you heard of “Receive SMS via a disposable telephone(most are mobiles) number”? Maybe you will think why we need that?

Let me tell you why.

I set up a monitoring function for my remote cloud server before. It would send an SMS when the system detected the server is down.
It successfully worked for three days but failed to send any SMS until now. I claimed this issue to my SaaS provider.
Their reply is in the country where I live, censorship is required before using the SMS service.
I just use the sending service for completely private use, not a public one, why do we need to be censored???

Not just one case.
Several days ago, I signed up for an account on one famous website. The registration process requires me to provide a contact mobile number to receive the verification code.
I entered my mobile number but didn’t receive any verification code. I resent several times and waited for almost 2 hours. The SMSes still weren’t delivered.
I changed my mobile and resent SMS to another different number via another carrier. It failed again. So I concluded this service has been blocked by the country where I live.

If I had a mobile number in another country, would it(receiving SMS) be done successfully?
So, I searched “how to receive blocked SMS in XXXXX(the country where I live)” and got a website in the result list that said, “Receive SMS via a temporary, disposable mobile number”.
I tried then.
The steps are:
1, choose a mobile number listed on the “Receive SMS” site.
2, when the registration process of the targeted website is progressed to enter your mobile number to receive the verification code, enter the number that you chose in step one.
3, the registration will send the verification code to the disposable number and the website will show the SMS including the code in the list refreshed frequently.
4, when you see the code in the list, then you enter the code to continue your registration process of the targeted website.
5, if everything goes smoothly, the registration process will move to the next step. And that means the process to verify your mobile number is done.

I tried to create a new account in Paypal by using this solution, it was done successfully.
Out of curiosity, I tried some other similar websites. Some of them were done successfully, but the others failed.
The sites that we failed to send SMS seemed just using some random numbers to pretend they are at your service(I analyzed their Javascript codes on the frontend-side). So, obviously, they are scammers.

How to identify which service is true, which service is a scam?
We have no choice but to try these services one by one.

Fortunately, I have reviewed more than 10 services listed in the top of the search report, and to save your time, I made a list on my site: FreeSMS.Review.
Please try for free. I will review the services and keep the list updated once a day.

But please note, because the verification codes will be published to be visible for everyone on the “Receive SMS” site, you need to take your own risk to give it a try.
Our recommendation is: ONLY use this kind of service for the registration of not that important sites, such as some sites that you are shy to publish your mobile numbers and want to hide your access history 😀
